Salam,

As a brother from Brooklyn, i often come across Muslims making money through haram ways. I remember a while back i walked in a deli and the first thing i saw was lotto and beer, even more surprising a sister with hijab at the register and a brother im assuming her husband doing the lotto machine.

Automatically i was like astukfurillah, but you know a shiekh said you should always give the benefit of doubt to people, even if you notice alot of bad practices, Inshallah you hope for the best. So anyhows i asked the brother, Why do you sell lotto and beer? He replied….”Alhumduillah brother this is America, we do business for everyone”. Ahh sorry but you can’t use that excuse in front of Allah. Good luck on the day of judgment. Gotta make dua for him Inshallah.

Any hows thats one case, now I’ve heard of stories of brothers who have been caught up in the drug game, completely wasted their life, some of them in prison, others deported, you hear about it here and there and its sickening because we know that Islam does not teach us to be involved in this type of lifestyle, but of course believers are mirrors for each other and when someone does something wrong, we should remind them of how to act righteous.

A while back i also heard about woman in Iraq who were doing prostitution to support their children meaning buy them food and so on because their husbands have passed away and no one was helping them. One sister who had to choose prostitution to feed her children because she had no source of money stated…….

“People shouldn’t criticize women, or talk badly about them,” says 37-year-old Suha as she adjusts the light colored scarf she wears these days to avoid extremists who insist women cover themselves. “They all say we have lost our way, but they never ask why we had to take this path.”

“I don’t have money to take my kid to the doctor. I have to do anything that I can to preserve my child, because I am a mother,” she says, explaining why she prostitutes herself.

Inshallah we should all make dua for the sisters who are in this situation, and what we learn from this is that if the Muslim ummah is not there to help or even be considerate human beings in general then people will choose alternatives such as this. Sister karima who is sadly in the same situation said “My husband died of lung cancer nine months ago and left me with nothing.”

Its so interesting to see how the brother in America tried to justify his haram consumption and on the other side of the world we have sisters in this situation trying to just feed their children or family for as little as 8 dollars a day. I mean just by looking at these two situations their is a serious need of help and we shouldn’t judge people because of what they do. I mean i talk to some brothers who live in the urban areas also known as the “hood” and they justify their haram income by saying they can’t find jobs or this is so easy why should i do anything else. Some of them begin to worship money and just see this life and forget about the hereafter. Allah knows best but Inshallah they all be guided.

Another issue which i wanted to bring up is in regards to poor people who steal, obviously stealing ones property does not justify poverty but trying to be optimistic recently i was reading an article about the percentage of Muslims in jail within India. The percentage was relatively high and of course at first i asked myself…Why are so many Muslims in jail? I found out that most of the Muslims are under poverty and they steal to make a living.

We have to be fair in how we look at different situations in life, especially when Muslims are involved in practices which they don’t want to do but unfortunately are due to the lack of help they are receiving whether it be dawah or relief.

From Brooklyn to Iraq, all the brothers and sisters making haram consumption is a reality for us and should be a reflection of the state we are in. I believe it is up to the people who have an understanding to help, whether it be through money or dawah. The ummah is one body, when one part gets affected so does the other, Inshallah i hope life gets easier for Muslims struggling to live, and for those making haram consumption, remember this life is a test and you don’t need that kind of money.

Our beloved Prophet said ” the poor people will enter paradise 40 years before the rich people” so if you are suffering, its a test and inshallah you will get help. Thats where the Muslims who have must come into action, because we know that whatever Allah gave us, it is a trial for us and we must give to those in need. Its interesting to see some poor people suffering and they ask Allah to make it a means of purifying themselves and on the other extreme their are those who have so much but don’t thank Allah. Just something to think about……

Inshallah Lets Make dua for all the Humans on this earth who are making haram money, we pray that they find a halal alternative and also for those who are suffering in poverty….Ameen!

I understand the message he is trying to make us understand and see, well it is so true, all of us are just so dependent on the system nowadays until we dont even understand and know the need and value of a human life. Allah what have the humans become. I like my Ipod Touch but just can get over the idea that it's development involves slave wages for those in china. Hate the people behind this.

This email is a true story with pictures.

It is a story of a person from Bahrain named Ibrahim Nasser. He has been paralyzed completely since birth and can only move his head and fingers. Even his breathing is done with the help of instruments.

"Sesungguhnya Bani Israil berpecah kepada 72 golongan dan umatku terpecah kepada 73 golongan. Semua mereka masuk neraka kecuali satu golongan yang selamat."

Sahabat bertanya: " Siapakah yang selamat itu ya Rasulullah? "

Rasulullah saw bersabda: "Mereka yang mengikuti jalan hidupku dan jalan hidup para sahabatku. " (at-Tirmidzi)

Ah Kau is a guy who sells newspaper every morning next to your apartment, and you are one of his daily regular customers. Before dashing off to your office every day,you will go to his small stall and buy The Star newspaper. Wearing a newly pressed shirt, a tie, and a pair ofClarksshoes, you grab a copy of The Star, pay RM1.20 and exchange smiles with Ah Kau and greet him.

Apa macam Ah Kau ini hari? Bisnes ada baik? The normal greeting like you do every day. Yes, Ah Kau doesn¡¯t speak English. He speaks Chinese and knows a little bit of Malay. He speaks a little bit of Malay but with a ve ry thick Chinese accent.

Biasa saja¡ ini bisnes aa, kadang kadang baik, kadang kadang tada untung oo¡. Biasalah hidup. Kadang kadang ok, kadang kadang tak

You give Ah Kau a pat on the back. You smile and walk away and get into your car. You start the engine and start driving to your office, a multinational semiconductor company located in a premier industrial area. You are a young and promising finance executive and the future looks bright for you.

A year goes by and things look pretty good on the track. You decide to marry your fiancé and have your new wife moves in to your place. Both of you feel happy because you can save more money as the two of you will be sharing one apartment and can live as one.

Many of us take what we have for granted, not knowing that we actually live a wealthy life which you may perceive otherwise. When I grew up, I was taught to finish everything in my plate at each meal, including every single grain of rice. However, how many of us still do this? Some of us even think it’s natural to have some foods left on the plate to be discarded, because the tummy is too full.

I’d like to invite you to read the following real life story happening in Sudan. You will discover how lucky we are to live in this country….

My great friends let this not come to you as a surprise, but it’s real have them living around us and in our neighbourhood today. We can change it by lending a helping hand to those in need. So our friends and all people will thank NATURE for food and water that they already have.
